Educational Requirements:
∎ All candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in International Development, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant discipline, or be currently enrolled as a final-year student and in good standing in accredited Bachelor's program
∎ Graduate degree (complete or in progress) in an analytics-focused program is a plus
Job Context:
∎ iDE is an international NGO with over 40 years of experience in designing and delivering market-based anti-poverty programs in 10 countries. We are a world leader in making markets work for the poor as well as the longest established market development specialist NGO in Bangladesh. iDE believes that markets can be a powerful force for improving smallholder prosperity by creating income and livelihood opportunities for poor rural households. iDE Bangladesh currently has eight projects in Agricultural Markets, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Access to Finance with a focus on women`s economic empowerment and climate-smart technologies.
∎ The Associate Officer- Evidence and Analytics will be responsible to provide support to the Evidence & Analytics unit and manage the day-to-day monitoring and evaluation-related activities of iDE Bangladesh. S/he will provide technical backstopping for result monitoring related tasks and internal study to the E&A unit, project field teams and maintain strong and effective coordination between the management and implementation

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The responsibilities of the Associate Officer- Evidence & Analytics (E&A) include but are not limited to the descriptions below.
∎ General Responsibilities
∎ Participate in developing and implementing the Country office E&A strategy to generate regular information related to the progress of program implementation
∎ Participate in designing data collection tools, templates, and assist in regular data collection or generation processes
∎ Provide support to the E&A Specialist in his technical assistance to project staff on implementing the E&A plan
∎ Participate in internal and external meetings, including online meetings with iDE Global team
∎ Respond to ad hoc E&A support requests from program and business development teams
∎ Planning, and Strategy Development
∎ Support in developing study/assessment plans, data collection and analysis tools and guidelines, training on assessments and data collection, developing reporting outlines and formats, developing process management tools and guidelines
∎ Assist in development of attribution strategies, baselines and survey designs
∎ Support E&A Specialist in conducting assessments/studies as per project requirements
∎ Reporting and Submissions
∎ Support in data analysis and report writing
∎ Assist in reviewing field-level assessment reports, baseline studies, and evaluation reports
∎ Assist the E&A Specialist in the development and submission of timely donor reports on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis as determined in the contract
∎ Assist in reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Management Dashboard of the assigned projects on a monthly basis
∎ Work with the Knowledge Management and Communication Specialists to collect and/or assist to collect case stories, best practice documentation, lesson learn; and update and manage that information in project's reports and other knowledge products
∎ Other Responsibilities
∎ Represent iDE at external events and meetings as agreed with the supervisor.
∎ Participate in relevant meetings and workshops
∎ Undertake any task assigned by Project Manager/E&A team and other additional tasks subject to workload and skill sets.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A successful Associate Officer- Evidence & Analytics will have the following skills and experience and will be comfortable with the following conditions
∎ Work Experience:
∎ Experience in writing reports, and designing tools for data collection, analysis and production of reports
∎ Data cleaning and analysis experience using STATA or R (can include classroom experience with willingness to improve R skills, in particular)
∎ An interest in and understanding of poverty economics and impact evaluation methodologies
∎ Demonstrated ability to explain research findings, both visually and in writing
∎ Experience and/or coursework focus on the following themes is a plus: market systems development, program evaluation, survey design, spreadsheet modeling, geographic information systems
∎ Personal Skills:
∎ Ability to cohesively work with various team members and the flexibility to adapt to different work conditions
∎ Display cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
∎ International experience or foreign language skills are a plus
∎ Management and Technical Skills:
∎ Ability to use standard software for data management/analysis such as MS Excel or Google Sheets
∎ Knowledge of managing databases
∎ Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and/or Google Workspace tools
∎ Skills in using R/STATA for data analysis and data visualization software such as Tableau/ PowerBI will be an added advantage
∎ Communication Skills:
∎ Excellent communications skills in both Bangla and English
∎ The role will require fieldwork in rural contexts as and when required
