Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Undertake field level activities under the supervision of Divisional Administrators in Rajshahi and Rangpur Division.
∎ Conduct field activities for the implementation of the project in Rajshahi/ Rangpur Divisions.
∎ Identify and assist to create a digit database of potential households, LSPs (feed dealers, hatcheries and nurseries) and other relevant stakeholders required to work with to achieve the project goals and objectives.
∎ Facilitate and advise NGO partners in group formation and field mobilization to ensure that the project reaches out to the targeted households.
∎ Advice, assist and oversee project partners (NGOs, private sector partners) in conducting Train of Trainers (TOTs), field level training and awareness program on aquaculture, nutrition, dietary diversity, gender integration and transformative initiatives for various value chain actors such as smallholder farmers, LSPs and partner staff.
∎ Follow up and monitor NGOs and private sector partners on ensuring sustainable implementation and efficacy of Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) process.
∎ Assist to implement the interventions for improvements in aquaculture through practicing the SOPs/BMPs.
∎ Submit progress report on partner's field level implementation on a quarterly basis.
∎ Support the market system team to develop business plans and strategies for scaling up of aquaculture improvements via private sector businesses and networks.
∎ Develop and maintain liaison with Department of Fisheries (DoF), private sectors and other partners at local level.
∎ Support Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team to monitor and evaluate the efficacy of implementation of the interventions and help them track all performance indicators and ensure that the proposed project outputs and outcomes are in accordance with the results framework; and
∎ Assist and collaborate with project team members (aquaculture, market, nutrition, gender, and MEL) on implementation of activities to achieve impacts on smallholder income, gender and diets at scale, as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 6 years' field experience in fisheries, preferably in the aquaculture, private and business sector or related discipline.
∎ Field based experience in conducting aquaculture training, demonstrations and other field extension activities.
∎ Experience in conducting field-based assessments.
∎ Knowledge in application of gender-sensitive value chain approaches, M4P or similar programs and 4 or more years of experience in market-based programs.
∎ Knowledge of various smallholder and commercial aquaculture systems use in Bangladesh - particularly those of importance to the NW of Bangladesh.
∎ Proven English report and scientific writing skills as well as ability to use computer.
∎ Excellent analytical and technical skills and expertise with the ability to work independently.
Salary:
∎ This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position with annual salary ranging between BDT 726,527 - BDT 793,896 per annum. WorldFish`s NRS shall receive comprehensive benefits including (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, and pension/ provident fund contribution.
