Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Statistics
∎ A graduate degree in statistics, biostatistics or a graduate degree with strong quantitative training in public health or social science such as epidemiology, economics, demography, etc.
∎ Skills Required: Data Analysis

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Statistician will assist the Team Leader in conducting various survey activities especially for data analysis and reporting. The specific tasks are:
∎ Assist Team Leader in preparing M&E strategy and plan and implement surveys;
∎ Develop a work plan outlining agreed scope of service, methodology, timeframe and deliverables;
∎ Assist Team Leader in the coordination and management of the project, including designing survey methodology, sample size, developing survey instruments, training, and field activities in relevant areas;
∎ Plan and administer health facility surveys and monitoring surveys;
∎ Data management and report writing of health facility surveys and periodic monitoring surveys;
∎ Assist Team Leader in designing data entry package, data management and analysis, and report writing;
∎ Disseminate survey findings and provide feedback to the stakeholders for decision making.
∎ Responding to questions regarding study design or data analysis from donors, implementers or reviewers
∎ Reviewing study designs, data analyses
∎ In consultation with PMU develop action and adjust the M&E framework (if necessary)
∎ Arrange dissemination workshops to present the findings of the various surveys.

Additional Requirements:
∎ She/he must be experience in sample size and power calculations for surveys. Familiarity with and competencies in analysis of various type of datasets including data from large household surveys (nationally or sub--nationally representative), health facility surveys, routine administrative and program and other specialized surveys.
∎ Excellent computer and other IT skills, good command of statistical application such as STATA, SPSS, R, DID and PSM technique.

Salary: Negotiable
