Responsibilities & Context:
  • Oversee and planning day-to-day logistics activities, buffer & inventory management, warehousing and coordinate with internal teams.

  • Develop and maintain inventory control systems to track all materials and parts required for vehicle assembly, collaborate with the production team to forecast future material requirements and ensure the necessary stock levels

  • Maintain a systematic record of consumables used in both logistics & production operations.

  • Monitor consumable stock levels and ensure adequate inventory to meet operational needs while avoiding overstocking or stockouts

  • Maintain accurate records of commercial data and inventory data for internal tracking and reporting. Provide updates to supervisor on the status of logistics operations and any challenges faced.

  • Collect station wise BOM list from production department to determine the materials, consumables, and goods required for assemble

  • Implement quality assurance processes for logistics operations following the SOP, including checks on damaged goods, packaging standards, and delivery accuracy.

  • Supervise and guide logistics team members, ensuring effective coordination and communication Provide training and mentorship to junior staff to improve their skills and efficiency.

  • Develop and implement best practices in logistics operations Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency

  • Supervise warehouse operations (unloading, unpacking & distribution) ensuring that materials are stored efficiently and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Optimize space utilization within the warehouse and ensure proper stock rotation.

  • Manage the movement of materials from warehouse to the assembly line, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

  • Analyze logistics data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement. And generate reports on logistics performance.

  • Provide regular updates to supervisor on logistics performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies to achieve company 13 goals Maintain a focus on safety, ensuring that logistics activities are conducted in a safe and hazard-free environment.
