• Experience and other Requirements: Minimum 2-4 years of clinical experience, preferably in low resources or humanitarian settings.

• Additional competencies:

• Prior experience in emergency response or in resource-limited settings like Bhasanchar or FDMN camps is highly desirable.

• Strong patient care, teamwork, and communication skills.

• Willingness to be stationed in a remote location and work in challenging conditions.

• Fluency in Bangla; basic English is preferred; knowledge of local dialect is an advantage.

Job Responsibilities:

RTMI is looking for experienced and skilled Senior Nurses to support operating theatre (OT) services at the 20-bed hospital in Bhasanchar. The Senior Nurses will ensure high-quality pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care and oversee OT protocols and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise OT nursing activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical and obstetric procedures.

• Prepare patients for surgery, including pre-operative assessment, counseling, and ensuring proper documentation.

• Assist surgeons during procedures, handling sterile instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.

• Oversee sterilization of OT equipment and instruments, and monitor strict adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) measures.

• Manage OT inventory, ensuring availability and proper use of surgical supplies and medications.

• Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery, identifying complications early and reporting promptly.

• Support and train junior nurses and OT support staff in surgical nursing practices and protocols.

• Maintain accurate and detailed OT records, including surgical notes, supply usage, and post-op monitoring charts.

• Collaborate with medical officers, anesthetists, and other team members to ensure coordinated patient care.

• Uphold patient safety, confidentiality, and organizational ethical standards at all times.

• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Senior Medical Officer cum Hospital Coordinator, or RTMI authority to support overall hospital operations.
