Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Leadership & Supervision:
∎ Lead, supervise, and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring all machinery operates efficiently.
∎ Provide guidance, technical support, and mentorship to junior staff and maintenance technicians.
∎ Monitor the performance of maintenance technicians and ensure adherence to work schedules.
∎ 2. Preventive Maintenance:
∎ Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all machinery and equipment.
∎ Ensure regular inspection, servicing, and preventive maintenance tasks are carried out as per the schedule to minimize downtime.
∎ 3. Troubleshooting & Repair:
∎ Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with factory machinery, particularly in garment manufacturing equipment.
∎ Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts for complex machine breakdowns, ensuring repairs are completed to high standards and within required timeframes.
∎ Coordinate with machine manufacturers and external service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance.
∎ 4. Process Improvement:
∎ Identify areas for improvement in machine operations and maintenance processes.
∎ Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance machine performance, reliability, and efficiency.
∎ Continuously seek opportunities to reduce machine downtime and improve maintenance operations.
∎ 5. Compliance & Safety:
∎ Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
∎ Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and safety training for the maintenance team.
∎ Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
∎ 6. Inventory Management:
∎ Oversee and manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
∎ Ensure timely procurement of necessary parts to avoid delays in repairs and maintenance.
∎ Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate stock to support uninterrupted maintenance operations.
∎ 7. Budget Management:
∎ Assist in the preparation and management of the maintenance budget.
∎ Evaluate and implement cost-effective solutions for maintenance, repairs, and inventory management, ensuring expenses remain within the allocated budget.
