Purpose of the Role:

IID is seeking a Senior Assistant Director – Creative to lead and guide the creative design function, ensuring high-quality visual storytelling across digital and print platforms. The role involves mentoring the creative team, providing strategic design guidance, and ensuring urgent design needs are met promptly while supporting IID’s mission-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Guidance

• Provide direction, mentorship, and guidance to the creative team on design standards, branding, and visual storytelling.

• Ensure timely support for urgent design requirements across teams.

2. Design and Content Creation

• Develop graphics for social media, websites, reports, and other digital platforms.

• Create visual assets such as infographics, banners, and templates to communicate complex ideas effectively.

3. Print and Publication Design

• Oversee design of layouts for reports, policy briefs, and other print publications.

• Coordinate with printers to maintain high-quality outputs.

4. Branding and Visual Consistency

• Ensure all materials reflect IID’s brand identity and maintain visual consistency.

• Collaborate with other teams to enhance the quality and effectiveness of visual communication.

5. Collaboration and Strategic Support

• Work with research, program, and management teams to develop creative concepts for campaigns, events, and publications.

• Take ownership of urgent creative needs and ensure their timely execution.
