∎ Previous experience in security services, preferably in a residential or shelter home setting.
∎ Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
∎ Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
∎ Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
∎ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Physically fit and able to perform patrols and other physical tasks.
∎ Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Access Control:
∎ Monitor and control access to the shelter home premises to prevent unauthorized entry.
∎ Maintain a log of all visitors, including their time of entry and exit.
∎ 2. Patrolling:
∎ Conduct regular patrols of the shelter home premises to identify and address security risks.
∎ Check all entry and exit points, ensuring they are secure.
∎ 3. Surveillance:
∎ Monitor surveillance cameras and other security equipment to detect suspicious activities.
∎ Report any unusual activities or security breaches to the Shelter Home Manager immediately.
∎ 4. Emergency Response:
∎ Respond promptly to alarms and other emergency situations, following established protocols.
∎ Assist in the evacuation of residents and staff in case of emergencies.
∎ 5. Safety Inspections:
∎ Conduct routine inspections of fire extinguishers, alarm systems, and other safety equipment.
∎ Ensure all safety equipment is in good working order and report any deficiencies.
∎ 6. Incident Reporting:
∎ Document and report all security incidents, breaches, and other related occurrences.
∎ Maintain accurate records of incidents and submit reports to the Shelter Home Manager.
∎ 7. Support Services:
∎ Assist residents, staff, and visitors with directions and general inquiries.
∎ Provide support during the arrival and departure of residents and visitors.
∎ 8. Training and Compliance:
∎ Participate in regular security training sessions and drills.
∎ Adhere to the shelter home’s security policies and procedures at all times.
∎ 9. Maintenance of Security Equipment:
∎ Ensure all security equipment, including surveillance cameras and alarms, are functioning properly.
∎ Report any malfunctions or required repairs to the Shelter Home Manager.
∎ 10. Collaboration:
∎ Work closely with other staff members to ensure a safe and secure environment.
∎ Assist in implementing security measures as directed by the Shelter Home Manager.
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer, and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 37 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Rights & Governance (R&G) is considered as one of the cross-cutting sectors of DAM dedicated toward the right-based developmental approach. DAM is going to implement the project “Enhancing Protection of Child Sex Trafficking Survivors in Bangladesh Project” in Dhaka, and Jashore district funded by the United States Department of State with the support of Freedom Fund and looking for the following position:
∎ Location: Shelter Home, Jashore and KANNAN, Dhaka
∎ Reporting to: Shelter Home Manager and Center Manager
∎ Objective: To ensure the safety and security of the shelter home, its residents, staff, and visitors through vigilant monitoring and proactive measures.
