Responsibilities & Context:
Food Preparation
Assistance Wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables and fruits.
Assist cooks in basic food preparation (measuring ingredients, portioning, etc.).
Maintaining Cleanliness
Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly.
Take out trash and recycling.
Dishwashing
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware either by hand or using a dishwasher.
Ensure all items are sanitized and properly stored.
Stocking and Organizing Supplies
Receive and store kitchen deliveries.
Organize food storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.
Monitor inventory and inform the chef or supervisor when stock runs low.
Compliance and Safety
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
Wear appropriate kitchen attire and protective gear.
Report any equipment malfunction or safety hazard.
Support During Service
Assist in plating dishes and preparing items for service.
Help with setting up workstations and cleaning up after service.
