Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelors' degree in any discipline.
∎ Candidates having Travel and tourism related degree or training in airlines ticketing is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Proven working experience in Reservation and Ticketing Department in an IATA-accredited travel agency.
∎ Must know IATA WORLD MAP.
∎ Excellent knowledge of the GDS - Sabre, Amadeus and Galileo including reservations, issuing tickets, reissue, revalidation, rerouting, fare calculation and void ticket procedure. Also, understand airline ADM and ACM policy and act accordingly.
∎ Knowledge of the IATA/BSP Customer Portal and relevant correspondence will be added advantage.
∎ Well-versed in various area of travel (domestic, international, online booking, group booking)
∎ Knowledge of group booking and handling, negotiating group fares from the respective airlines and understanding and handling Hajj and Umrah passengers with every step procedure including reservation and ticketing.
∎ Ability to present and communicate with clients effectively.
∎ An outgoing, confident and energetic personality.
∎ Presenting, listening and negotiation skills.
∎ A commitment to high levels of customer service.
∎ Good business awareness and selling skills.
∎ Answering phones professionally, courteously and promptly.
∎ Discussing client's requirements and providing advice on worldwide destinations, tours, accommodation, visa assistance and flights.
∎ Preparing customized itineraries to suit the client's preferences and budget.
∎ Providing up-to-date advice on travel regulations.
∎ Ensuring all bookings, reservations, refunds & reissues are processed accurately.
∎ Completing all ticketing, secured payments and submitting money and paperwork to the accounting department.
∎ Adeptly dealing with different airline/agents' sales representative.
∎ Good command of speaking and writing in English.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ At least 5 years in IATA accredited travel agency's reservation and ticketing department.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the areas of reservation/ Ticketing in a Travel Agency and/or Hajj & Umrah Agency
∎ Should have smart & smiley face with presentable personality.
∎ Should be well groomed and well mannered.
∎ Should be honest, trustworthy and hard working
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills, influencing ability & an approachable working style
∎ Strong communication skills in Bangla and English
∎ Should be capable to work as individual or in team.
∎ Airline Reservation System (GDS) on Sabre, Amadeus, Galileo
∎ Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email correspondence in English and Internet browsing
∎ IATA/BSP Customer Portal activities
