Job Responsibilities:
∎ Anticipate guest's needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with other associates.
∎ Align working practices and conduct with "Le Meridien Dhaka" Vision, consistently strive to meet and exceed the expectations of both internal and external guests.
∎ Understand and adhere to relevant workplace health and safety standards. Personally ensure compliance with all relevant Workplace health & Safety and Occupational Health & Safety legislation, and related Hotel and Marriott policies.
∎ Become totally familiar with the "Reservations" Standards and Procedures and follow them accordingly.
∎ Establish and maintain an accurate system.
∎ Preparation of daily arrivals.
∎ Preparation and compilation of various reports as required by the Department Manager.
∎ Input new reservations received via telephone, fax or email.
∎ Demonstrate thorough knowledge of and actively sell all products, services and special events within the hotel. Make appropriate reservations (limousine hires, restaurant bookings, etc.,)
∎ Be aware of facilities and points of interest within Dhaka and surrounding areas to assist with any guest requires.
∎ Be familiar with all room types, availability, rates, group movements and billing, daily events, promotions, VIP's and Guest History guests.
∎ Actively contribute to Marriott Loyalty programs and upselling programs.
∎ Send confirmations for reservations booked.
∎ Post advance deposits and refunds of advance deposits, especially during peak season.
∎ Liaise with Corporate bookers, Tour Operators and Travel Agents with special request and general information.
∎ Endeavor to process all correspondence on a daily basis.
∎ Monitor and maintain the waitlist file.
∎ Disseminate product and rate information to prospective clients.
∎ Response to telephone and mail inquiries in relation to FIT business.
∎ Liaise closely with the Sales and Marketing Department to ensure up-to-date information with regard to packages, menus and special promotions and events.
∎ Undertake additional duties as requested by the Department Manager and Hotel Management
∎ Actively upsell hotel facilities to maximize revenue
∎ Negotiate the most profitable rate to secure the business for the hotel.
∎ Ensure deposits and settlements are received when due.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Convey a high level of understanding of the importance of attending to details.
∎ Ensure accuracy by verifying work against standards or input of others.
∎ Handle challenging situations with guests diplomatically.
∎ Take extra steps to ensure work was completed

∎ Maintain a high level of output and quality regardless of the task load.

∎ Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
∎ Knowledge of the city and market segmentation for business
