Additional Requirements:
∎ Demonstrated experience and capacity as Research Officer/ Coordinator for at least two years in reputed development NGOs/ INGOs
∎ Must have a strong command of data management and analysis using software such as Access, SPSS/STATA, and Atlas.ti/Nvivo
∎ Experience with large-scale survey-based data collection using open-source applications like KoBo and Google Forms is mandatory.
∎ Proficient in conducting Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and Participatory Rural Appraisals (PRA) in both rural and urban settings with diverse stakeholders.
∎ Good understanding on labor migration, climate change, skill development, health, Trafficking in Person, child marriage, climate change, gender and women empowerment issues
∎ Proficient computer skills for quantitative data processing and analysis, as well as strong word processing skills in both Bangla and English; good command of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
∎ Self-motivated, proactive and target oriented
∎ Good report writing along with analytical skills
∎ Ability to work in a team and lead a team
∎ Willingness to work in a flexible schedule and travel project areas frequently
∎ Have good interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Able to manage multiple priorities/ multitasking

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct, assist, and outsource qualitative and quantitative research on different issues, like, labor migration, climate change, skill development, reintegration, health etc.
∎ Contribute to the development of research concepts, methodologies, tools, techniques, and data collection processes; prepare terms of reference (ToR) for outsourced research and assessments.
∎ Collect primary and secondary data for research using various tools and techniques as needed.
∎ Supervise and monitor field-level data collection, ensuring the authenticity and objectivity of the data as appropriate.
∎ Develop data analysis plans and analyze collected data.
∎ Provide training on data collection to field enumerators.
∎ Write and contribute to research reports, and prepare and present PowerPoint presentations of research findings.
∎ Draft policy briefs based on research findings.
∎ Provide necessary research and technical support for project activities, including workshops, capacity-building training, and campaigns involving relevant stakeholders.
∎ Assist in the design, planning, and management of research, program, and advocacy activities of the project.
∎ Review and edit reports and contribute to publications,
∎ Assist with preparation of audiovisual materials and website content,
∎ Compile data for progress reports and provide ready access to all experimental data for the organization,
∎ Ensure 100% standards in financial and logistical management to meet accountability and transparency,
∎ Represent OKUP when and where necessary,
∎ Any other activity required and directed by the management if necessary

∎ Probation Period: 3 months
∎ Job Type: Contractual – Initially for One Year. (Extendable based on performance and available fund)
