Educational Requirements:
∎ An M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field with a CGPA above 3.50.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform various molecular biology protocols, which include DNA/RNA extraction, PCR-based assays, Next-generation sequencing, and optimize techniques for high-quality output and downstream processing.
∎ Plan, implement, and coordinate a range Of research and administrative tasks, including providing laboratory/ research support services, scheduling bookings, administering experiments, data collection, input and analysis, and preparing results in accordance with established research objectives, timeframes, and protocols.
∎ Provide supervision, training, and guidance to staff where applicable, including overseeing compliance with technical or research standards and protocols.
∎ Prepare reports and other documentation for research leaders, committees, and funding bodies.
∎ Ensure compliance with established research methodology, policy, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
∎ Present findings to colleagues and at conferences.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in standard molecular biological processes such as DNA/RNA extraction, Illumina, and Nanopore Library preparation, troubleshooting
∎ Experience with analysis of next-generation sequence data such as whole-genome sequencing, RNA-Seq, and metagenomics.
∎ Experience with or a strong interest in bioinformatics programming, including Linux, scripting, and R.
∎ Should have at least one publication (genomics) or under review in Scopus index, peer-reviewed journal.
∎ Should have strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to be an effective team player in a collaborative environment.
