Job Context:
∎ The Research Assistant for EURASTIP project entitled "Promoting Multi-Stakeholder Contributions to International Cooperation on Sustainable Solutions for Aquaculture Development in South-East Asia" will be responsible to implement project activities in the field.
∎ This position will be based at WorldFish`s Country Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Interviews are expected to be held in April 2019. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified and expected to attend the interview. The successful candidate should be available to commence by May 2019 for an initial eight (8) months` short term contract, with the possibility of contract renewal depending on performance and funding availability.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to coordinate and facilitate interaction with Bangladesh aquaculture stake holders through personal visit, organize meetings, seminars and workshops.
∎ Assist in reporting case studies, most significant stories, best practices of stakeholder platforms, bimonthly aquaculture industry report on commercial, research and policy issues.
∎ Assist to characterize, mapping, prepare data base of stakeholders and analysis such as SWOT.
∎ Assist in liaison with different WorldFish led aquaculture projects relevant with stakeholders' activities.
∎ Assist in data collection, data analysis and prepare reports.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of working experience in research / survey work, private sector, aquaculture and fisheries market system. Experience requirement can be flexible in case of higher education.
∎ Experience in community discussion, data collection, organization of meeting, workshop, seminar, taking meeting minutes, report writing.
∎ Strong in essential computer software/packages for database management and data analysis, presentation.
∎ Willingness to travel according to project requirement.
∎ Excellent English writing and speaking skills.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
∎ Ability to both in work, assist team, and manage field.

Salary:
∎ This is an eight (8) months temporary position with salary ranging BDT 32,000 to BDT 35,000 per month.
