Job Responsibilities
· To ensure proper academic calendar of MBBS students.
· To conduct lectures for MBBS students as per the academic schedule.
· To take clinical items and assist in the completion of students’ cards.
· To conduct evening classes for MBBS students and medical internees.
· To conduct regular phase-wise classes, including evening ward classes and clinical sessions as per the approved schedule.
· To prepare and maintain updated lecture timetables and ward/class schedules.
· To provide clinical services to the respective department
· To conduct comprehensive medical assessments and examinations of patients presenting with various medical conditions.
· To diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
· To monitor the progress of patients under your care, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide appropriate follow-up care.
· To perform medical procedures and interventions as required, including but not limited to injections, wound care, and minor surgical procedures.
· To admit patients to the hospital and coordinate their care throughout their hospital stay.
· To participate in daily rounds with the medical team to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
· To respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate interventions to stabilize patients as needed.
To verify the internee's log book with the help of Assistant Professors of the respective unit.
· To conduct regular thorough examinations on newborns and young children to check and record their health and normal physical development
· To examine sick children to determine their condition and ask intuitive questions to gather information about symptoms
· To reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and individual medical history
· To prescribe medications and give detailed instructions for administration
· To prepare and administer vaccines according to the governmental vaccination plan
· To examine and treat injuries and refer the little patients to physicians of other disciplines when necessary (e.g. surgeons, ophthalmologists, orthopedists etc.)
· To advise parents on children's diet, exercise and disease preventive measures
· To keep abreast of advancements in pediatrics and best practices by attending seminars and conferences.
· To direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
· To prescribe and interpret appropriate lab tests to gain more information for possible infections or abnormalities
· To attend OPD/indoor patients and wards/cabins.
· To perform any other responsibility/responsibilities given by the authority from time to time.
