Responsibilities & Context:
  • Conducting assessments to evaluate students` cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

  • Administering standardized tests to assess intelligence, academic achievement, and psychological disorders.

  • Analyzing assessment results to identify students` strengths and areas of concern.

  • Providing individual counseling to students experiencing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties.

  • Facilitating group counseling sessions to address common issues such as bullying, stress management, or grief.

  • Offering crisis intervention and support for students dealing with trauma or urgent mental health concerns.

  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies for supporting students` academic and emotional needs.

  • Consulting with teachers to address classroom behavior management and learning difficulties.

  • Designing and implementing school-wide programs to promote positive mental health and prevent behavioral problems.

  • Conducting workshops and training sessions for teachers and parents on topics such as positive discipline, conflict resolution, and understanding child development.

  • Implementing interventions to address issues such as bullying, substance abuse, and peer conflicts.

  • Analyzing school-wide data to identify trends and patterns related to student behavior and academic performance.

  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current on best practices, research findings, and ethical guidelines in the field of school psychology.

  • Pursuing additional certifications or specialized training to enhance skills in areas such as trauma-informed care, autism spectrum disorders, or crisis intervention.
