Job Context:

Our main areas of work include child protection, prevention of violence against women and girls, women`s empowerment, life-skills education, and humanitarian response in emergency situations (food security & livelihoods, shelter development, WASH, health and hygiene) etc.
∎ AGRAJATTRA is looking for an experience and competent Psychologist for the project titled "Prevention of GBV and Improve Health, Livelihood and Psychological Well-being of Host and Rohingya Community at COXB, Bangladesh". The project is funded by Médecins du Monde France (MdM) - France. The project components are Mental Health and Psychological Support Service (MHPSS), Gender Based Violence (GBV), Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) and Livelihood development. The project will be implemented at Host Community and Rohingya community of Cox`s Bazar.
∎ Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the psychologist will be responsible for providing evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and community-based Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services includes MHPSS Case Management and PSS activities for people who suffer from mental health and psychosocial distress in Community Resource Center (CRC) at Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazila (Located in host community).. S/he will provide supervision, and support for the staff in the various modalities of the community-based and humanitarian approach of MHPSS services.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide MHPSS Case Management activities which are initial assessment to identify needs, develop a care plan and objectives according to the identified needs, conducting follow up sessions, making referrals for external services to be followed up
∎ Design, developed, adapt, and conduct Psycho social Support activities
∎ Collect, categories, analyses, report and archive MHPSS data
∎ Writing regular (weekly/monthly/quarterly) progress reports includes MHPSS planning, achievements, and challenges to the Project Coordinator.
∎ Develop monitoring and evaluation tools by undertaking field visits and activity review actions monitoring project activities to identify shortfalls in delivery of PSS activities and recommend changes to the teams in line with program objectives
∎ Provide support for MHPSS activities through provision of technical support, awareness raising, training, materials, supplies to the counselor, midwife, and caregiver also Community Volunteer (CVs) as well.
∎ Provide support to Case worker, Case Manager and Community Volunteer formation of community protection groups (CPG) for MHPSS services in community level.
∎ Build capacity regarding MHPSS among the project staff.
∎ Prepare and maintain mental health notes and narrative reports of mental health activities (in the appropriate charting format) following the policies of records and maintenance of beneficiary confidentiality.
∎ Conduct/participate in Mental Health and Psychosocial needs assessment among the affected populations.
∎ Contribute to develop referral format for MHPSS survivors
∎ Support for celebrating special event day like as 16th days activism, humanitarian day Women's day etc.
∎ Coordinate with other actors to ensure referral and the transfer of cases where Agrajattra does not have the capacity or specialized support.
∎ Reporting to :
∎ Keep the Project Manager informed on the activities of the project by providing relevant correspondence, reports and meeting minutes as well as making regular updates.
∎ Responsible for prompt submission of all reports to the Project Manager
∎ Properly Submitted MHPSS related 4w and 5w Report to CP and health Sector.
∎ Networking :
∎ Responsible for co-ordination and liaising between Agrajattra and local partners/other agencies/local government/local communities/displaced community, as regards to Agrajattra's MdM project in conjunction with the Project Manager.
∎ Represent Agrajattra at the ISCG sectors meeting like Health (MHPSS), GiHA, GBV, Protection, YWG and appropriate forum; Others relevant (Donor/Gov't/Stakeholders) areas in the Rohingya camps and host community.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3-4 years working experience in mental health and psycho-social support program.
∎ Previous experience in MHPSS is highly desirable as well as sound knowledge of global guidelines of MHPSS services such as IASC and UN Agencies.
∎ Experience in community-based interventions, outreach, mental health, and psycho social support activities in emergencies or protection-related activities
∎ Experience in managing people/teams.
∎ Experience with start-up of programmes
∎ Demonstrated experience and commitment to working with marginalized communities.
∎ Knowledge of sector and donor guidelines in relation to protection and MHPSS
∎ Experience working in Rohingya camps is a significant advantage (Minimum one year experience)
∎ Upholds humanitarian values and principles
∎ Language :
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla (written and spoken) and excellent writing skills.
∎ Rohingya or Chittagonian language skills is an advantage
∎ Technical Skills :
∎ Strong analytical, reporting, strategic thinking and planning skills.
∎ Strong monitoring and evaluation skills/experience.
∎ Strong knowledge about computer operates Ms Word, Ms Power point, Ms Excel.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 45000 - 50000 (Monthly)
∎ As per Staffs appraisal yearly the 5-10% Salary will increase if any fund available in the project.
