Job Context:
∎ To be based in Cox`s Bazar to support program implementation in Ukhia and Kutubdia under Cox`s Bazar district) Contract will be for the project duration which ends in September 2023.
∎ Position Overview: The Project Manager is responsible for the implementation of a WFP supported project in Cox`s Bazar with primary responsibility of project management, budget management, people management and timely implementation of program activities. The Project Manager will closely work with district and Upazila level government education officials, local partners and with different teams in Room to Read Bangladesh. The position will report to the Program Operations Director.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure and coordinate timely implementation of the project activities by maintaining quality;
∎ Manage the project budget through timely forecasting and expense tracking;
∎ Prepare project budget and provide required information for preparing project proposals as and when required;
∎ Coordinate with donor at the local level, country management & technical team, local level government officials, school authorities and other stakeholders;
∎ Prepare and submit different donor, government and organizational reports in timely manner;
∎ Represent RtR in different government meeting e.g. NGO Coordination meeting, Education forum meeting;
∎ Direct, manage and motivate the project team. Oversee the performance of the project staff;
∎ Respond to donor requirements, host donor and government visits;
∎ Monitor overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary;
∎ Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans;
∎ Collect all the necessary local level approval related to project as and when required;
∎ Manage project office and support day to day administration;
∎ Ensure timely local level procurement considering value for money and coordinate country office level procurement; Ensure materials distribution at the school and beneficiary level;
∎ Conduct regular field visits to monitor and verify the programs' progress and impact;
∎ Maintain close relation and provide support (if required) to other projects implement by RtR in Cox's Bazar;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 10 years' related work experience with minimum of 3 years project management experience;
∎ Strong planning, budgeting, administrative, supervisory and program management skills;
∎ Good knowledge and understanding of education issues and priorities;
∎ Strong interpersonal communication, language and computer skills.
∎ Skills & Competencies Required:

∎ Understanding of monitoring, evaluation, and process documentation
∎ Strong motivation in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization that is focused on maintaining high quality work and low overhead

∎ Report writing skills and experience, Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
∎ Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
∎ Workshop/training and facilitation skill
∎ Personal:
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Work more effectively in problem solving and delegation approach
∎ Ability to stay in the field and travel to designated project sites
∎ Proven track record of achieving results
∎ Prior success working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people
