Job Context:
∎ Room to Read invites applications for the following positions for a one-year Project (possibility of extension) on "Implementation of learning related support for children in the Rohingya camps and host communities" in Cox`s Bazar funded by UNICEF. The program will be implemented in 345 Government Primary Schools from 4 Upazilas (Chakaria, Ramu, Teknaf and Pekua) under Cox`s Bazar district.
∎ Position Overview: The Project Manager-Custom Project will coordinate all custom project of Room to Read Bangladesh. He/she will maintain and monitor project planning, project schedule, coordination with government, budget and expenditure, reporting with donor etc. The Project Manager-Custom Project will report directly to the country director.
∎ Based in Country Office

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement a Financial Pipeline Tracking System for effective budget monitoring and cost control based on sound financial and budgeting principles,
∎ Closely work with Director Accounting and Finance for all project's financial report, budget variances and expenditure.
∎ Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings.
∎ Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from all project meetings.
∎ Ensure timely submission of project documentation to donner, Room to Read Global Office, project lead and other stakeholders as required
∎ Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
∎ Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, government and donners.
∎ Participate all project meetings.
∎ Facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members and Country Management Team.
∎ Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings based on project requirements.
∎ Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
∎ Follow-up with all project implementation calendar to track each goal and objective of project

Additional Requirements:
∎ Good knowledge and understanding of education issues, including teaching methodologies and community involvement in schools
∎ Thorough understanding of Government of Bangladesh's Pre-Primary and Primary Education system
∎ Experience of working with the existing pre-primary and primary curriculum
∎ Experience of reviewing curriculum's and making recommendations
∎ Experience of leading and supporting a team of at least 50 staff
∎ Experience of reporting
∎ Minimum of 10 years related work experience with at least 3 years in similar position
∎ Strong planning, budgeting/financial management, administrative, supervisory, coaching and program development skills
∎ Skills & Competencies Required:

∎ Analytical and critical thinking skills
∎ Understanding of monitoring, evaluation, and process documentation
∎ Strong motivation in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization that is focused on maintaining high quality work and low overhead

∎ Report writing skills and experience, Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
∎ Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
∎ Workshop/training and facilitation skill
∎ Personal:
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Work more effectively in problem solving and delegation approach
∎ Ability to stay in the field and travel to designated project sites
∎ Proven track record of achieving results
∎ Prior success working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people
∎ Prior experience working with schools, teachers, administrators, and government officials
