Job Context:
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985.
∎ CODEC is implementing different Development projects in the field of Education, Livelihood support, Environment, Legal Service, Humanitarian Field, Advocacy, Health & Nutrition etc. The aim of CODEC is to provide support and assistance to the disadvantaged coastal communities in their day-to-day struggle.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) is going to implement CODEC Climate Change Adaptation Project funded by STRØMME Foundation in Chitalmari Upazila, Bagerhat District, Bangladesh.
∎ CODEC Climate Change Adaptation Project aims to aware the People of rural areas such as Bagerhat of climate-smart technology and modern technology for agricultural and aquaculture production. Most of the farmers in these areas mainly depend on traditional methods of agricultural and aquaculture production. As a result, they experience production losses each year due to climate change, and climate-induced disasters. CODEC invites application for CODEC Climate Change Adaptation Project for the following positions from the potential Bangladeshi nationals.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Manager will be solely responsible for project activity planning, operation, monitoring and coordination as well as financial operation (within the budget limit) of the entire project. He will work under the close supervision of Focal person. He will participate all GoB related meeting and ensure all sorts of GoB compliances in the project working area.
∎ Leading the management of overall activities of CODEC Climate Change Adaptation Project and ensure proper project cycle management to ensure achievement of objectives and delivery on time.
∎ Progress reporting for projects using information from various sources.
∎ Develop project annual development plan in consultation with donors and the community.
∎ Ensuring Government compliance and other relevant administration documents.
∎ Keeping senior management informed and update relevant employees and donor.
∎ Oversight of financial management and compliance of the project.
∎ Promoting women and youth leadership for climate change adaption.
∎ Engaging community in climate change adaption and other relevant project activities.
∎ Ensuring safe and inclusive project management
∎ Periodic review of risks and ensuring risk management actions.
∎ Prepare periodic, annual and other relevant reports.
∎ Working with Stromme foundation's Programme Quality and Knowledge Management Team for periodic programme quality review, monitoring-evaluation-learning.
∎ Enabling team members through coaching, capacity building and mutual accountability.
∎ S/he should abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)’s six core principles on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policy. Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience in managing community led climate change adaption programs with having intensive understanding of relevant issues.
∎ Relevant experience of 10 years including budgeting, planning, programme cycle management, preferably in an NGO, out of which at least 7-8 years should be supervisory/managerial experience.
∎ Proven programme and project management skills including planning, monitoring, evaluation, budgeting, proposal development and report preparation.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communications skills and an ability to conduct face-to face and remote learning events.
∎ Team building, HR management skills.
∎ Strong Report writing skill both Bangla & English.
∎ Must have Computer knowledge (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, email, internet etc.)
∎ Strong in English and capable to write quality report in English is necessary.
∎ Strong ability in problem solving and decision-making.
∎ Skilled in documentation, facilitation, presentation & reporting.
∎ Willing to ride motorcycle in the field with valid driving license.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 65000 (Monthly)
∎ Salary & other benefits – 65,000/- Monthly with 02 festival bonuses, Gratuity, Group Insurance, Special Medical Fund, Special Savings Facility and Communication Allowance.
