Experience:
Relevant academic degree in Disaster Management, Geography & Environment, Environmental science, Anthropology, Development Studies, or a relevant field;
More than five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in programme/proposal design and development, project start up and implementation in the field of disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation (CCA) and other relevant sectors, including technical leadership and supervisory roles in both humanitarian and development portfolio.
Proven track record of preparing and managing project budgets as per donor and agency protocol
Experience of representing at different national and regional platforms and forums including MoDMR, DDM, CCP, FFWC, BMD and other relevant ministries and departments is preferable
Sound knowledge of donor narrative and financial reporting skills;
Solid understanding of climate impact in vulnerable location & community affecting youth and especially girls in Bangladesh;
Demonstrated skills in conducting capacity-building initiatives for local partners.
Proficient in communicating effectively in English, both spoken and written

The Role:
The Programme Manager will lead plan International Bangladesh’s (PIB) disaster risk reduction (DRR) and Climate Change adaptation (CCA) work, with a strong focus on advancing girls’ and young women`s rights. Key responsibilities include implementing and scaling the girls-led DRR & CCA programme, mobilizing resources, and ensuring integration of climate resilience across PIB programmes. The role will also coordinate with partners and stakeholders, support policy advocacy, and promote youth-led, especially young women-led, climate actions. Additionally, the post holder will contribute to training, documentation, and knowledge sharing, while representing the programme within PIB’s extended leadership and broader networks.
The monthly consolidated salary range for this role is 203,712 BDT - 254,640 BDT CTC (may vary based on experience), along with other benefits, hospitalization benefit for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, gratuity, festival bonus, leave, group insurance, yearly medical check-up for employee, and day care facilities.
