Educational Requirements:
∎ Post-graduate degree or equivalent experience
∎ Relevant post-graduate degree in medicine, public health or related subject
∎ Candidate having Medical or MPA or INGO background will be preferred
∎ Substantial experience of project management including project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and narrative and financial reporting
∎ Knowledge of the health, political, social and economic context of Bangladesh and the development issues and challenges it faces
∎ Practical experience of designing and implementing child and/or global health programmes, including experience of working with international, national and local partner organisations
∎ Strong financial background including experience managing and tracking project budgets

Job Context:
∎ To lead and manage World Child Cancer`s (WCC) work in Bangladesh, including a 3-year project funded by the UK`s Department for International Development (DFID). Ensure the financial accountability of funds, reporting to WCC on a quarterly basis. Build the organisation`s profile in the country and develop fundraising capacity. The main role of this position will be;
∎ Successful implementation of World Child Cancer programmes in Bangladesh, through the engagement of staff, partners and beneficiaries.
∎ Effective representation of World Child Cancer.
∎ Improve positive reputation of World Child Cancer with strong links in place with relevant organisations, partners, stakeholders and governmental bodies.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ -Project Management:
∎ Responsible for overseeing the delivery WCC's programmes in Bangladesh, including a 3-year DFID funded project
∎ Create plans with key milestones and measurable outcomes: track progress and adjust to meet objectives, ensuring others are aware of changes and reasons for them
∎ Develop, in collaboration with WCC, monthly and quarterly work plans and budget forecasts
∎ To support the coordination of regular Steering Committee meetings, report to them on quarterly bases, communicating progresses and including their recommendations in the workplan.
∎ Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of workplans and budgets, communicating any significant delays or issues regarding there implementation
∎ Assist in the development of strategies to achieve project aims and objectives
∎ Compile quarterly narrative reports
∎ Communicate progress with healthcare professionals and administrative staff within the project
∎ Develop and maintain new relationships with individuals and organisations to further World Child Cancer's aims.
∎ Support WCC's local and international partners, building strong working relationships to deliver shared goals and objectives
∎ Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills
∎ Line manage program staff
∎ -Financial Management:
∎ Support the Finance Manager to compile quarter financial reports
∎ Report all expenditure to WCC, communicating any significant budget variation (overspend or underspent) to WCC and the Steering Committee
∎ Guarantee that WCC financial procedures (as per Finance Manual) are correctly implemented
∎ -Monitoring and Evaluation:
∎ Maintain and develop accurate schedule of activities
∎ Assist WCC to develop a monitoring plan, ensuring its implementation and providing regular updates to the UK office
∎ Organise and assist with regular monitoring visit and external evaluations
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 38 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience working within global health, including policy and advocacy issues
∎ Experience in public health programme management.
∎ Knowledge of capacity building tools and techniques.
∎ Relevant experience, including strategic planning and management of a large and complex budget
∎ Relevant experience of project/programme management.
∎ Experience on public speaking and/or working with the media.
∎ Experience of distance management of staff and partners.
∎ Ability to foster collaborative, transparent and accountable relationships through partners, including over distance.
∎ Enjoys working in small yet growing teams where there is opportunity for growth

∎ Proficiency in IT including the Microsoft Office Suite
∎ Good written and spoken English
∎ Insight into the challenges of childhood cancer
∎ Experience in managing Dfid funds
∎ Experience of advocacy on public health issues, in particular, non-communicable diseases
∎ Fluency in any of the relevant languages in the region or other relevant languages
