∎ Position Overview:
∎ The Program Officer - QRM (Quality Reading Materials) for Digital Content Development is responsible for developing digital contents as determined mainly for the Literacy Program of Room to Read Bangladesh, by maintaining expected quality and Room to Read standard. The digital contents may include both newly planned digital content and content to be digitized based on storybooks and other teaching-learning materials published by Room to Read Bangladesh. The Program Officer - QRM for Digital Content Development will work with the QRM, IDTS and Program Operations Team and collaborate with the Communications Team of Room to Read Bangladesh, as and when required. The position will report to the Senior Program Manager, QRM.
∎ The primary responsibilities of the Program Officer - QRM for Digital Content Development, is to ensure that high quality digital reading materials are designed and developed for the target groups. This includes working with the Quality Reading Materials (QRM), Instructional Design and Teachers Support (IDTS), and Communication & Documentation (C&D) unit to identify the training and curriculum related digital content required for the relevant staff, teachers and students, as planned. The Program Officer - QRM for Digital Content Development is also responsible for coordinating with the technical teams within Room to Read Bangladesh and with vendors for all aspects of digital content development initiatives. The position may also require frequent interaction with material development consultants, illustrators and writers and digital content makers, and also with relevant government officials for necessary approval.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for development of the digital content and providing training and orientation to the target group and relevant staff.
∎ Responsible for overall digital content development in coordination with relevant program teams.
∎ Assist with Administration for bidding process to select appropriate and capable vendors (production houses) to produce digital content.
∎ Draft text for Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)/ Terms of Reference (ToR) to be signed with the vendors along with issuance of work/purchase order, as appropriate, in consultation with Senior Program Manager-QRM and Administration.
∎ Work with script writers and illustrators for sourcing/developing scripts, artworks and storyboarding.
∎ Assist Senior Program Manager-QRM to determine AV design, and AV formats for digital materials considering usability for the target groups and the dissemination media involved.
∎ Carryout pre- as well as post-production tasks as part of the developmental process of the digital content, in coordination with technical teams within Room to Read Bangladesh and with vendors.
∎ Cooperate with Administration in entering into copyright agreement with related vendors, script writers, illustrators or any other consultants.
∎ Ensure necessary logistics to develop overall story, shooting plan, scenario and imagery for development of particular digital contents.
∎ Engage celebrity artists, performers, anchors, authors, illustrators, singers and reciters as appropriate for development of high-quality digital content and perform appropriate video filming and shooting activities with such celebrities involved, as suggested by Senior Program Manager-QRM.
∎ Collect draft digital contents from the vendor and arrange for staff review session, compile feedback and comments for improvement and finalization of the digital content.
∎ Any other relevant tasks as directed by Senior Program Manager-QRM, and Literacy Director.

∎ Experience in the successful implementation of a wide range of tasks.
∎ Experience in developing and implementing programmatic improvements.
∎ Prior success in working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people and organizations.
∎ Effectiveness in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization that is focused on maintaining high quality work and low overhead.
∎ Ability and desire to travel frequently to working areas in the country.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
∎ Ability to work with multiple priorities simultaneously.
