∎ Identify, mentor, and support emerging women and gender-diverse leaders from the ethnic minorities and Dalits.
∎ Lead and guide the implementation of all interventions at grassroots level.
∎ Strengthen local ethnic minority organizations in organizing workshops, seminars and dialogues.
∎ Strengthen Collaboration with local NGOs, government bodies, and local leaders to amplify voices of ethnic minority and Dalit’s women and girls.
∎ Promote intersectional feminist practices that recognize and address overlapping identities and oppressions.
∎ Conduct training sessions on feminist leadership, rights awareness, and advocacy skills.
∎ Facilitate peer learning networks among grassroots women leaders from ethnic minority and Dalit’s groups.
∎ Facilitate developing and implementing local advocacy strategies of ethnic minorities.
∎ Organize advocacy campaigns on key issues
∎ Document community voices and cases to feed into national-level advocacy platforms.
∎ Monitor and follow-up the ongoing interventions.

∎ The Samaan Aawaaz Project focuses on promoting women in leadership roles and strengthening the enabling environment for their meaningful participation in decision-making processes. The initiative targets Ethnic communities, Dalit, and religious minorities. Grounded in a rights-based approach, the project is guided by principles of participation, equity, inclusion, transparency, accountability, and empowerment.
∎ The project seeks to build the capacity of stakeholders to recognize their individual and collective rights and responsibilities, support women’s rights and empowerment, and deliver more equitable and inclusive public services. A strong emphasis is placed on transparency, accountability, equity, and inclusion in governance, with a focus on feminist leadership, advocacy, and citizen-led social accountability.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ The program officer at Samaan Aawaaz will lead the implementation of a program promoting feminist leadership, gender justice, and advocacy for ethnic, Dalit, and religious minorities. The role involves building team capacity and networking with allies to strengthen the participation of ethnic and Dalit minorities in governance systems. This position requires a strong commitment to intersectional feminism, with experience in social justice advocacy and in developing women’s leadership among grassroots minority communities.
