Job Responsibilities:
∎ The PDD shall devote the whole of his working time, attention and skills to the duties of his office and shall faithfully, efficiently, competently and diligently perform such duties and exercise such powers as may from time to time be assigned to be vested in him and shall obey all direction given to him by or under the authority of the Company for such purpose, and use his best endeavours to promote and extend the Business of the Company and to protect ad further the interests and reputation of the Company.
∎ The PDD may be required in pursuance of his duties hereunder to perform services not only for the Company but also for any associated company for so long as the Company reasonably requires (without further remuneration) to accept such offices in any associated company as the Company may from time to time reasonably require, and the PDD shall carry out such duties if they were duties to be performed by him on behalf of the Company and the obligations contained herein shall apply mutates mutants as if all references to the 'Company' are references to such associated company. Associated company shall mean a company where the Employer has substantial shareholding or control including common directors.
∎ The PDD shall have an overall administrative, supervisory and managerial role in the Company and shall lead the management team, subject to supervision and control of the Board of Directors. Due to the nature of his responsibility, the PDD shall not be a 'worker' under the definition of Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006.
∎ The PDD shall be fully responsible for running the affairs of the English Department of the Company under such guidance and instructions as may be given by the Board on its behalf by the Chairman and any committee set up by the Board for such purposes.The PDD shall at all times keep the Company promptly and fully informed (in writing if so requested) of his conduct of the business or affairs of the Company or any associated company and provide further information, written records and/or explanation as the Company may require.
∎ The PDD shall take all necessary steps to ensure that the English Department of the Company runs profitably and establishes itself as the best vocational training centre in the country with an excellent technological base, the highest level of customer satisfaction and overall observance of good management practices ahead of other companies in similar business.
∎ Any change in the Employee's duties and/or powers as an employee of the Company from time to time shall not result in, or be deemed to be, a modification of the terms of this Agreement.
∎ The PDD's responsibilities shall further include, but not be limited to, those specified in 'Appendix 1'. The job description is not exhaustive and the Company may include other job descriptions from time to time which will be communicated to the PDD from time to time.
∎ Marketing of teacher training to schools and universities, along with foreign qualifications
∎ Organising major events Training.
∎ Developing strategy to direct purposeful growth of ACE .
∎ Creating and monitoring implementation and delivery of courses
∎ Reporting to: Deputy Managing Director
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have 10 years' experience of management in a reputed international educational concern
∎ Must have track record of involvement in the education industry in Bangladesh at all levels
∎ Must have teacher training experience in Bangladesh at secondary and tertiary sectors
∎ Expertise in HR systems
∎ Must have 10 years' experience in English language teaching
∎ Fluent written and spoken English
