Responsibilities & Context:
Operate POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for daily sales transactions.
Scan product barcodes accurately and prepare customer bills.
Receive payments through cash, cards, mobile banking and other approved payment methods.
Ensure accurate cash handling and return the correct change to customers.
Process discounts, promotional offers, loyalty/CRM-related transactions as per company policy.
Handle product returns, exchanges, void/cancel transactions and other billing adjustments according to company procedures.
Maintain accuracy in all billing and payment transactions and minimize billing errors.
Perform daily cash and sales reconciliation and properly hand over cash and transaction records to the concerned authority.
Provide polite and efficient service to customers at the billing counter.
Coordinate with Sales Associates, Supervisors and Managers regarding product price, barcode, discount or billing-related issues.
Report POS software, barcode scanner, card machine, printer or other technical issues to the concerned department.
Maintain proper cleanliness, discipline and organization of the billing counter.
Follow all company rules, SOPs and cash-handling procedures.
Perform any other POS and checkout-related duties assigned by the Management.
