• As a Physician in the Outpatient Department (OPD), one is expected to provide comprehensive medical care to patients on an outpatient basis, diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions. The role involves conducting consultations, performing diagnostic assessments, prescribing treatments, and coordinating follow-up care to promote patient health and well-being.
• Conduct initial consultations with patients presenting with various medical concerns, including but not limited to acute illnesses, chronic conditions, preventive care, and general health maintenance.
• Perform thorough medical evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and review of medical records, to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms (ECGs), to aid in diagnosis and monitoring of patient conditions.
• Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies based on evidence-based guidelines, clinical judgment, and patient preferences, taking into account factors such as efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and preventive healthcare measures to empower patients to take control of their health.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including nurses, specialists, pharmacists, and allied health professionals, to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes
