Experience:

• At least 2 years

• Bachelor of Science (BSc)

• BSc in Optometry.

• At least 2 years

• One-year internship in recognized eye hospital

• At least two years of working experience in any eye hospital/ clinic

• Knowledge and experience with working in field Hospitals, public health sector, medical emergencies will be advantageous.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.

• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

• Provide prescriptions on primary eye care treatment, refraction error and initial advice for investigations to patients with eye diseases

• Perform vison tests and analyses results and to diagnose patient’s sight problems

• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses and medications when/where required.

• Screening and identify the patient who requires eye surgery and refer them to eye specialist for further decision.

• Assist in transferring of referral patients and taking care of all necessary arrangement of documentations.

• Prepare monthly requisitions of medicines, consumables, stationaries in consultation with RMO or concern eye specialist.

• Maintain respective units medicine and stock register

• Provide pre & post-operative care to patients who are undergoing eye surgery during the Eye-surgery campaign

• Keep all kind of records, supervise BCC mobilization, patient collections and counseling during the Eye-surgery campaign

• Coordinate with GoB/NGO stakeholders as per consultations with MO/RMO

• Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

• Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 55,554.75
