Responsibilities & Context:
∎ As Officer-Finance & Administration, his/her responsibility shall include but not limited to the following:
∎ To maintain books of accounts covering all transactions of the organization in a responsible manner.
∎ To record organization all kinds of daily transaction to accounting software (ODOO) with proper voucher and accurate documents. (Posting, checking all kind of the supporting document, budget lines, Vat and Tax compliance, expenses reports etc.)
∎ To preserve bills, vouchers, banking transaction and other documents in soft and print formats as applicable. Scan and upload invoice and supporting document to ODOO accounting software.
∎ To prepare daily cash closing statement.
∎ To take care of petty cash management.
∎ To prepare monthly bank reconciliation statement.
∎ To maintain advance register, Cheque issue register and Cash Book Register.
∎ To assist the Manager Accounts in preparing documents for auditing of accounts and facing the auditor with evidence and justification.
∎ To assist to FAM for the preparation of W&L project’s FD6 (project proposal with qualitative and quantitative data), Revise of the FD6 (if needed), FC-1 (for free donated goods/money release only one time.
∎ To ensure the Bank deposit of the receipt amount against all kinds of service of the organization with proper voucher/documents.
∎ To maintain banking relation (new cheque book, Bank statement etc.).
∎ To assist for preparing the quarterly Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) report for Sobar Jonno Pani Ltd. and submit to Bangladesh Bank.
∎ To calculate deductions for VAT and TDS and confirm deposit to government treasury as per government law and to report to Head office.
∎ To prepare monthly Withholding Tax Return.
∎ To prepare Yearly Statement regarding salary payment under section 108.
∎ To take care HO Inventory & Maintain Stock register according to organization inventory procedure.
∎ To conduct expatriates' VISA & NGOAB Work permits related work.
∎ To provide all kinds of procurement related support to branch.
∎ To provide all kinds of logistic related support to branch.
∎ To assist to FAM for the draft of all kinds of contracts/agreement/enlistment/MoU.
∎ To Up-date Fixed Asset registers
∎ CONTEXT:
∎ Water & Life Bangladesh (W&L Bangladesh) is a non-profit organization established by Eau & Vie, a French NGO, is active in Bangladesh since 2010 to improve the living condition of Urban Slum dwellers by implementing water network, firefighting, hygiene promotion, sanitation and solid waste management activities.
∎ W&L Bangladesh works in close association with the social enterprise Shobar Jonno Pani Ltd. (SJP) also established by Eau & Vie, which is specialized in safe water supply for lower income community who do not have access to water, aiming at creating quality-controlled piped and metered water supply networks, which are financially viable and adapted to the needs.
∎ Both W&L Bangladesh and SJP engaged in partnerships with the local communities, authorities, water operators and other development stakeholders through two branches, one in Dhaka and the other one in Chattogram.
∎ TYPE: Permanent
∎ LOCATION: Based in Head Office, Gulshan 2, Dhaka.
∎ REPORTING TO: Sr. Finance and Administrative Manager
∎ COORDINATION WITH: HR Team, Program Team, Technical team, Branch Office.
∎ Purpose:
∎ Proper maintenance of W&L’s books of accounts in full compliance with the law of the Bangladesh and organizational provisions.
∎ Job Responsibilities:

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Salary: BDT 25,500 to 30,000 (depends on candidate's skills and experience)
∎ Benefits: Two Days' Weekend, Gratuity, Medical Insurance, Two Festival Bonus (basic) per year, Mobile Allowance.
