Education:
  • Completed university degree in medical science (MBBS) with post-graduate qualification (FCPS, MS, Diploma will be preferred) on Gynecology and Obstetrics from an accredited academic institution.

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Partners in Health and Development (PHD), a not-for-profit organisation implements health and development programs in collaboration with the governments in different districts of the country. PHD is implementing ‘SRH Service Delivery through Eastern Flash Flood Response’ project in Noakhali and Feni under the overall guidance of District Health and Family Planning Department and technical guidance of UN system to ensure health support services particularly Gynaecological and Obstetric services. As such, PHD invites applications from interested person to fill-up the positions of Obstetrics & Gynaecologist Specialists.

Job Responsibilities:       

  • Organize camps and deliver emergency SRH and general health services to flood-affected vulnerable groups of eastern regions·       
  • Generate service data desegregated by gender and age
  •  Work as a specialist doctor in managing gynecological and obstetric cases, especially those are being referred from the UH&FWC/USC, CC and Community.       
  • Provide medical services and consultation to gynecological and obstetric-related patients as per requirements.
  • Assist the doctors with the ward rounds and post-operative cases.
  • Perform Caesarean operations, both as scheduled / elective and emergency operations.
  • Support and mentor, Medical Officers, Nurses and other mid-level healthcare professionals.
  • Provide proper services to the patients admitted in the inpatient wards performing roster duties as and when needed to cover 24/7 services.
  • Assist to prepare periodic reports and other requests for information as required.
  • Provide support to manage supply and stock in OT/ Warehouse to avoid stock out situations.
  • Active engagement with referral and management of transportation for the patients to higher facilities as required.
  • Coordinate with data entry operators to collect medical information and other details into DHIS2 with maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform such other relevant duties assign by the line manager and supervisor.
  • Maintain functional relation with and accountability to the in-charge of the respective facility
