1. Purpose Of The Position

Lead end-to-end newsroom operations to drive audience growth, maximize advertising revenue, and establish editorial dominance across print and broadcast platforms in Bangladesh.

2. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Architect daily news agenda balancing publication urgency with online and digital depth.

• Drive editorial decisions to increase market share and circulation revenue.

• Enforce rigorous fact-checking and libel-proofing protocols for all outputs.

• Lead, mentor, and hold accountable a team of 50+ journalists and Sub Editors.

• Optimize newsroom workflows to reduce time-to-publication.

• Collaborate with commercial teams to generate high-value branded content opportunities.

• Monitor competitor output and adjust editorial strategy within hours.

• Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh Press Council and broadcast regulations.

• Manage crisis coverage with zero reputation compromise.

• Build exclusive story pipelines to differentiate Akij Media from competitors.
