∎ Fluency in Chittagonian and/or Rohingya is a plus for this position.
∎ Prior experience of working in greater Chittagong Division and knowledge.
∎ English proficiency and Computer knowledge is a plus.
∎ Willing to take challenge of working in a participatory approach for Rohingya Community/ Host Community.
∎ Good communication, Facilitation and motivational skill.
∎ Understanding of local culture.
∎ Abilities to undertake extensive travel to village level.

∎ Technical expertise, skills and knowledge
∎ Essential-
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla (both reading and writing), Chittagong language and/or Burmese language is considered as special advantage.
∎ Good knowledge and understanding of humanitarian principles and established international child protection minimum standards.
∎ Must be good in creative thinking, management of space and materials, timetabling and events planning.
∎ In depth knowledge of child rights, child wellbeing and psychosocial needs.
∎ Desirable-
∎ Ability to work independently and as a team player who demonstrates leadership and is able to support and train local staff and also able to work with disaster affected communities in a sensitive and participatory manner.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the Prevention and Response of Child Protection Concerns through Timely Initiative with Child Engagement ( PRACTICE) with Rohingya and Host communities under its Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Program, Cox's Bazar with the support of Plan International Bangladesh and Music Aid. Project duration- 31 December 2024 (to be extended subject to the provision of project extension afterward). The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Field Office at Teknaf with substantial field activities at different camps and host communities at Teknaf. The job may be regularized after the completion of 3 months of services under FIVDB.The incumbent is responsible for the delivery and management of technical expertise, ensuring high quality and timely inputs, and for ensuring the standard of project activities and its strategic vision for attaining project objectives and goals result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a cost-effective and timely manner. S/he will be responsible for leading the activities of MEAL through planning, implementing, and managing the delivery of policies, reports, knowledge of services, and other results approved in the project document or periodical/annual work plans. S/he will also closely work with the operations unit at Cox's Bazar, different clusters including the protection working group, UN agencies, relevant government officials, private sector, non-government, and civil society organizations. The Monitoring and CPMIS Officer is responsible for the program in Cox's Bazar, for supporting 1. The development and harmonization of effective monitoring and documentation tools and systems, 2. The treatment, analysis, and reporting of data related to implemented projects, 3. Develop survey tools and methodologies, 4. Look after the work of the founded Community based Monitoring-Committees. The Monitoring and CPMIS Officer will be involved in and provide support to capacity-building and training activities on monitoring, evaluation, documentation, and lesson-learning topics. Duties and areas of responsibility Ensure quality monitoring and documentation at the program level and build a nationwide system that captures and presents results Contribute to the review and development of global and sartorial monitoring and evaluation plans and strategies, ensuring crosscutting issues are well integrated Design tools and SOP aimed at monitoring project activities implementation against work-plan and logical framework, ensuring that programs have specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound indicators Contribute to ensuring quality and accountability (donors and beneficiaries-related accountability) Support program coordinators, project managers, and finance officers with data analysis and the production of high-quality, evidence-based, donor-compliant reports (monthly, quarterly, annual, and final) and documentation in a timely manner to accurately reflect field-level conditions and programming progress Ensure data quality and integrity by periodically conducting field visits and spot-checks Provide training and assistance to develop staff skills in participatory and qualitative design, monitoring approaches, to implement realistic monitoring plans that capture quantitative and qualitative data for comparison against a project's targets Train, assist, and/or participate in rapid or baseline assessments to inform program design scope of work for evaluation teams. Work with program coordination and contribute to the support and training to apply lessons learned, case studies and follow up on progress through monitoring and providing on-going support Carry out daily monitoring visits, focus group discussions, participatory assessments, key informant interviews, information collection, and management plans and standards, ensuring appropriate treatment of sensitive information Assess individual protection issues captured or identified during daily activities and make appropriate referrals for services to humanitarian or other actors as per the referral pathway or best practices Set up a functioning Complaints and Response Mechanism Ensure proper documentation and secure storage of any protection data collected (hard and soft copies) Complete daily reporting on findings

∎ 10% of the Basic Salary will be deducted as Staff Security Fund (Payment made after project closing/ Leave from FIVDB) Deduction of Tax at the source
