Job Context:
∎ DASCOH Foundation is implementing USAID’s MaMoni Maternal and Newborn Care Strengthening Project in partnership of Save the Children International, Bangladesh with financial assistance of USAID. The project intends to strengthen the systems and standards of maternal and newborn care to reduce the mortality of the mother, newborn and child. The projects also contribute to improved health status, with special focus on maternal, neonatal and child health within primary health care system as well as to increase facility delivery working with ministry of Health and Family Welfare using coordinated approach.
∎ This position is mainly responsible for providing clinical services at UH&FWC and satellite clinics at union level but prime job to increase the Normal Vaginal Delivery at the facility. She has to work under the supervision of Upazila Coordinator but keep coordination with SACMO and Pharmacist working the assigned facilities and the District Coordinator. She should perform counselling services at the facilities, provide health education to the visitor of the UH&FWC and organize satellite clinics.
∎ The staff must follow the rules and regulation of the organization especially the Child safe guarding and gender disparity. The policy includes-at any situation could never abuse any child it any form of touching, gesturing, torturing or any other means. To be very careful to the protection of the child and never torture or appoint any child as servant and/or any incidence then and there report to organization management as well as to Save the Children. Similarly, Gender rule/policy should also be followed strictly. Both the cases, organization have a policy of “Zero Tolerance”. Violation of the rules may resulted termination or dismissed.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform clinical activities (ANC, NVD and PNC) and services at UH&FWC/USC and satellite clinics
∎ Perform counselling services ensuring the primary health care at UH&FWC/USC and satellite clinics
∎ Work under the supervision and guidance of Upazila Coordinator and GoB Health managers but liaison with District Coordinator.
∎ Keep record of the service provided
∎ Keep record of the potential pregnant mother.
∎ Keep liaison with UP for betterment of the services
∎ Conduct health education session among the to the people who come to seek health services at the facilities and the satellite clinic
∎ Perform any other tasks is assigned by the supervisors.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Sound background of clinical services.
∎ Having good skill on coordination and advocacy.
∎ Excellent in team work.
∎ Having at least 2 years working experience on similar job.
∎ Good knowledge on NGO work.
∎ Experienced on normal and safe delivery.
∎ Excellent in team work.
∎ Technical knowledge on mother, child and neonate care.
∎ Knowledge on health system of Bangladesh especially primary health care.
∎ Able to capacitate or advice the HSP on safe delivery.
Salary: Tk. 28510 - 30910 (Monthly)
