Job Context:
∎ WorldFish is hiring for a new aquaculture and nutrition intervention in the USAID Bangladesh the Feed the Future Zone of Influence. The new activity will take a market systems approach, stimulating growth of the private-sector to deliver goods and services to the aquaculture sector in south-west Bangladesh, thereby ensuring the sustainability of investments. A key component of the proposal is to assemble a team with experience of applying market systems approaches in development activities
∎ This job is open to Bangladesh nationals with the following skills and qualifications:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in designing and developing a monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) plan
∎ Assist in developing indicators linked to the Activity results framework.
∎ Assist to develop appropriate tools to monitor, measure and evaluate the Activity performance, effectiveness and impact
∎ Support the knowledge management system for ensuring collaborating, learning and adapting (CLA) systems are in place for internal users (project management and staff) and external users (market actors, donor and practitioners).
∎ Coordinate data collection from private sector organizations and companies
∎ Assist the establishment of a Geographical Information System (GIS) to monitor program progress and changes.
∎ Introduce a market intelligence system through online data collection and analysis
∎ Ensure all Activity and private sector staff have comprehensive understanding of the MEL system
Additional Requirements:
∎ Sound technical knowledge on MEL, aquaculture research, extension, training and dissemination
∎ Experience in report writing, planning and implementation of activities
∎ Thorough understanding and skills in MEL and quality data management
∎ Fluency in written and spoken English and Bangla
∎ Ability to use MS Office- Word, Excel and Power Point
∎ Ability to carry out frequent field visits
∎ Desired Skills and Qualification:
∎ Work experience in USAID funded projects
∎ Training on knowledge management, market monitoring and evaluation is also considered as asset
∎ Training on ICT and GIS
∎ Strong analytical skills
∎ Basic understanding of a market system approaches
∎ Ability to plan own work, setting priorities and complete it under pressure or when faced with competing demands;
∎ Committed to a facilitating working environment
Salary:
∎ This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position with annual salary ranging between BDT 1,312,189 - BDT 1,476,881per annum.
