Experience:

• At least 3 years

• Candidate should have minimum Diploma in Medical Technology in (Lab) from any accredited academic institution.

• BSc will be given preference.

• At least 3 years

• Minimum 3 years of practical experience(s) as Medical Technologist.

• Knowledge and experience in working with at community level.

• Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members in a diverse cultural environment.

• Excellent communication (written and verbal), coordination, managing skills.

• Strong problem identification, analytical and solving skills.

• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Skilled in working in computers particularly operating MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and internet browsing.

• Ability to work with limited supervision, lead team of diverse people, can travel to remotes places and can cope with multiple stress including fragile contexts.

• Age Limit : Upto 40 years (may be relaxed for outstanding candidates).

Red Cross - Red Crescent movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a national society of the movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President`s Order No. 26 of 1973 with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971. This is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an auxiliary to the government, the Society provides humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people over the last 53 years and has undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster management, livelihood, health, WASH, capacity building and in promoting Red Cross/ Red Crescent ideals and principles.

BDRCS, under its Population Movement Operation (PMO), has been providing humanitarian services since 2017 for the displaced Rohingya people from Rakhine state of Myanmar who have been sheltered in different camps under Ukhiya and Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar. Currently, BDRCS is looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the following position under PMO, Cox’s Bazar:

Duration of Contract : Upto 31/12/2024 (with possibility of extension).

Work station: Balukhali PHC, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.

Reportable to: Residential Medical Officer (RMO).

Key duties and responsibilities

• Major responsibilities of the position will be as under:

• Medical Technologists main duty is various types of testing.

• Laboratory tasks, sample collection, blood grouping, screening, component preparation, preservation, cross matching and ensure the documentation.

• Making Report under supervision of In-charge.

• Maintaining the record, equipment and other activities related with laboratory.

• Inventory and stock management

• Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
