Responsibilities & Context:
  • Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations;

  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients` comfort;

  • Performing diagnostic imaging to obtain clear, usable images;

  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation;

  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients` records;

  • Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment;

  • Perform basic patient care activities e.g. providing instruction and assisting patients with general hygiene and personal care activities e.g. changing patient’s clothing;

  • Assist doctor or Sr. radiographer in examination rooms e.g transferring patients onto examination couch, act as chaperones, and preparing patients for radiological procedures;

  • Assist Sr. radiographer in data entry into worklist and radiology information system;

  • Perform the daily equipment preventive maintenance (PM) for General X-Ray machine, comfortable with interacting with patients;

  • Administration duties, data collection, maintaining the storage of request forms and assist in retrieving request forms from storage/system;

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment;

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action;

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
