Education:

• Completed nursing Aid training (1.5 years in college) in recognized institution or at least 2 years’ experience in nursing care after SSC.

• Candidates holding certificates on; Basic First Aid or emergency health care training will be added advantage

• Team-Work oriented, capacity to work independently; personal commitment, efficiency, cultures and professional backgrounds at all levels

• Familiar with MS Office package

• Works effectively with local authorities, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.

• Assist Nurse/ Medical Assistant/ Doctor at the health facilities in day-to-day patient management including referred cases and admitted patients. These include introducing patients at out-patient, in-patient, laboratory and emergency departments and proper management.

• When required, s/he will escort non-critical patients to private clinics for consultation, laboratory investigation and for any invasive and non-invasive procedures in consultation with the Referral Nurse

• Establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients with special attention to the women, girls, boys and men to know their needs and support in meeting those equally.

• Communicate with patients / beneficiaries establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.

• Assist patients in understanding their condition, medication with dose intervals and other doctor’s recommendation as per prescription

• Arrange medicines that are unavailable in in-patient departments for admitted patients and emergency medicines for non-admitted patients

• Assist Nurse/ Medical Assistant/ Doctor in conducting health examination including history taking, measurement, treatment, immunization and in performing medical procedure including but not limited to other patient follow up and specimen collection when required.

• When required, arrange ambulance for patients transfer to higher level health facilities

• Assist Nurse/ Medical Assistant/ Doctor for documentation of patient care services or updating record register and other records regularly

• Participating in field missions out of the duty station where required.

• Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

• Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 28,064.00.
