Education:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
Must have valid BMDC Registration
Diploma in Ophthalmology will be treated as an added advantage

Responsibilities & Context:
To act under the supervision of the Medical Consultants in the provision of a medical service and to support the consultants in their duties.
To attend daily ward rounds with the medical team.
Take handover of patients from the previous shift specialist/registrar, so that continuity of care is ensured and immediate decisions are made and orders written.
To review patients on a regular basis in accordance with the plan of care made at the beginning of the shift and inform the consultant of any issues or problems.
Document review findings in clinical notes in a timely and legible manner.
To contribute to quality improvement, risk management initiatives and policy development so that the overall Patient care Service is of the highest quality and reflective of best practice.
To act and behave professionally and perform one`s duties in a manner that optimizes patient care
Conduct routine eye examination
Refer surgical patient from eye camp to hospital for cataract surgery and other surgery.
Perform other related duties assigned by senior Eye Specialist and surgeon/ hospital
Ensure the hospital follows standards of care as per national/international ophthalmology guidelines
No Night shift and 6 days in a week with monthly 6-8 outreach programmee.
Outdoor shift basis 8.00am-2.30pm & 2.00pm-8.30pm schedule.
