Job Context: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (DMF) to join our multidisciplinary recovery team. The ideal candidate will assist medical officers in managing the physical and mental health of residents undergoing addiction detoxification and rehabilitation.
Patient Intake & Monitoring: Conduct initial medical history taking, check and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature), and monitor patients closely during the acute detoxification phase.
Medication Management: Assist the Medical Officer/Psychiatrist in dispensing and administering prescribed psychiatric and general medications accurately.
Emergency Care: Provide immediate first aid and management for minor injuries, withdrawal symptoms, or medical emergencies before transferring to a higher facility if needed.
Documentation: Maintain precise and confidential medical registries, patient case files, and treatment logs.
Patient Support: Provide health education to patients regarding their physical recovery and basic hygiene. Co-operate with counselors and nursing staff to ensure a safe environment.
Degree: Diploma in Medical Faculty (DMF) from any government-recognized MATS (Medical Assistant Training School).
Registration: Must have a valid and updated BMDC (Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council) registration number.
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a hospital, clinic, or psychiatric rehab center is highly preferred (Freshers with strong clinical internship records are also encouraged to apply).
Empathy, high emotional intelligence, and non-judgmental attitude toward individuals struggling with substance abuse.
Ability to handle high-stress situations or aggressive patient behavior during severe withdrawal phases.
Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel) for medical report keeping.
