We, authorized representative of Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO) - A leading steel company in Libya, are seeking highly skilled professionals with 5+ years of experience in steel manufacturing, particularly in block and rolling mill operations (experience in Bangladesh or abroad preferred).

Open positions for 1 technician - Mechanical Technician with competitive salary packages and benefits.

Responsibilities:

1. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:

   • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on industrial equipment such as conveyors, pumps, fans, compressors, gearboxes, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

   • Diagnose mechanical faults, disassemble equipment, repair or replace defective parts (bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, etc.), and reassemble.

   • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, troubleshoot issues, and execute repairs to restore equipment to operational status.

2. Installation & Alignment:

   • Assist in the installation, alignment (using laser or dial indicators), and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.

   • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

3. Fabrication & Machining Support:

   • Perform basic cutting, welding (arc/Oxy-fuel), and fabrication tasks as required for repairs or modifications.

   • Operate machine shop tools (lathes, milling machines, drills, grinders) to fabricate or modify parts to specifications.

4. Safety & Compliance:

   • Adhere strictly to all LISCO safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), work permits, Confined Space Entry, and PPE requirements.

   • Maintain a clean and safe work area in the workshop and on-site.

   • Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

   • Complete work order reports, detailing tasks performed, parts used, and time spent.

   • Report recurring problems and potential improvements to the supervisor.

   • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
