Responsibilities & Context:
Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and servicing on machinery to prevent equipment downtime and extend lifespan.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical failures and dismantle, repair, or replace defective parts.
Reading Schematics: Interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and engineering schematics to assemble and calibrate components.
Testing & Calibration: Test machinery performance, adjust settings, and ensure systems operate within optimal parameters.
Record-Keeping: Log maintenance activities and track parts inventory using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
