Responsibilities & Context:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory Department, ensuring quality and accuracy in all diagnostic testing.
Cooperate & collaborate with Consultant and other senior officials to ensure timely and accurate generation of laboratory reports.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain proper documentation and accreditation standards.
Lead and manage a team of laboratory technologists, technicians, and support staff, ensuring continuous professional development and high performance.
Implement and maintain best practices in laboratory safety, quality control, and quality assurance.
Manage laboratory inventory, procurement of reagents, consumables, and equipment maintenance.
Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Establish and review standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve workflow and laboratory services.
Monitor departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and efficient operation of the laboratory.
Stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology and techniques to continuously improve laboratory performance.
