• Financial Data Integrity & Governance:

  i. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial and operational data, both in numerical records and underlying business substance. ii. Validate system data before submission of MIS, management reports, and financial statements to Financial Controller and CFO. iii. Maintain strong internal controls over product costing, inventory valuation, and expense classification.

• Product Costing & Portfolio Performance Management: i. Oversee product-wise and modelwise costing, including material, conversion, overhead, and landed cost components. ii. Prepare and submit Monthly Product/Model-wise Sales vs Cost vs Margin (Benefit) Analysis to Financial Controller and CFO. iii. Review and update cost sheets for new Lithium-ion battery models to support competitive pricing and MRP decisions in coordination with Product Management and Sales. iv. Analyze profitability by product, customer segment, and sales channel to support portfolio optimization.

• Budgeting, Forecasting & Variance Analysis: i. Lead operating unit budgeting and post-budget performance reviews. ii. Prepare periodic budget variance analysis and submit reports to Financial Controller, and CFO with corrective action recommendations. iii. Support rolling forecasts and quarterly business reviews for the Lithium-ion battery portfolio.

• Treasury, Cash Flow & Fund Management Coordination: i. Coordinate with Finance & Treasury teams on cash flow planning, working capital optimization, loan utilization, and forex exposure related to imports and capital equipment. ii. Support fund flow monitoring for project CAPEX and operational scaling phases.

• MIS, Financial Reporting & Regulatory Support: i. Prepare and review MIS, interim financial statements, and annual financial data with analytical interpretation. ii. Respond to quarterly and annual regulatory and internal reporting requirements as directed by Financial Controller and CFO. iii. Provide financial presentations and analytical reports to DCBO and CBO to support strategic and operational decisions.

• Cross-Functional Business Partnering: * Maintain close liaison with Head of Sales Coordination, Product Manager, and Deputy Product Manager for: i. Sales promotion schemes and commercial offers ii. Product positioning and margin protection iii. Alignment of commercial policies with accounting and costing systems * Collaborate with Cost Accountant to identify bottlenecks and cost optimization opportunities.

• Compliance, Audit & Governance Support: * Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, accounting procedures, and operating unit control frameworks. * Provide full support to Internal and External Auditors, including audit schedules, reconciliations, and management responses. * Maintain oversight of Tax and VAT implications related to product costing, pricing, and sales transactions in line with NBR regulations and BSEC guidelines.

• Operating Unit Finance Leadership: * Ensure effective execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of finance and accounting processes within the Operating Unit. * Identify operational and compliance risks and propose corrective measures to CBO and relevant authorities. * Participate in periodic reporting to corporate and group-level management. * Foster coordination and cooperation among Production, SCM, Sales, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth portfolio operations. * Provide timely guidance and technical support to finance team members and subordinates.

• Overall Accountability * Act as the Finance and Product Portfolio Lead for the Lithium-ion Battery Project, responsible for end-to-end financial performance tracking, product costing accuracy, management reporting, compliance support, and strategic business partnering to ensure sustainable growth and profitability of the battery business under Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC.
