7–10 years of progressive experience in mobile phone manufacturing organization at least 2 years in a similar position or above.
Proven experience in SMT (Surface Mount Technology), Assembly Line Management, and Quality Control processes·
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cost management·
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent analytical and decision-making ability.
Knowledge of ERP systems and production management software.
Effective communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
Result-oriented, disciplined, and capable of handling pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bangla and English, with basic proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) considered an advantage
Responsibilities & Context: The Operation Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing the overall operations of the mobile phone manufacturing plant. This role ensures production targets are achieved with high quality, cost-effectiveness, safety, and compliance. The position oversees all functional departments including Production, Quality, Engineering, CTP Repair, SMT Operation, Battery & Charger and Production Material Control in within the factory premises.
Job Details with responsibilities
a) Production & Operations Management
- Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing operations to meet production targets in terms of quantity, quality, cost, and delivery schedule.
- Ensure adherence to production plans, SOPs, and efficiency standards.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen principles to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Monitor daily production reports and take corrective actions for deviations.
b) Quality Assurance
- Ensure strict adherence to product quality standards and customer specifications.
- Oversee quality control systems for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
- Work closely with R&D and Quality teams to resolve quality issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
c) Engineering & Maintenance
- Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of machines, assembly lines, and testing equipment.
- Support equipment installation, calibration, and technology upgrades to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain coordination with equipment suppliers for service and spare parts.
d) Inventory Management
- Oversee materials management, including procurement, inventory control, and logistics.
- Ensure smooth coordination with the PMC and Head Quarter team for timely availability of components.
- Optimize material usage and control production costs.
e) Cost & Efficiency Control
- Monitor and control manufacturing costs, overheads, and wastage.
- Drive process automation and digitization to enhance efficiency and reduce manual dependency.
f) Strategic & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in strategic planning for capacity expansion, new model introductions, and process improvement projects.
- Collaborate with corporate management / Head quarter team on new product launches and factory modernization plans.
g) People Management
- Lead and motivate a diverse workforce, including local and expatriate employees.
- Set performance targets, evaluate team performance, and identify training needs.
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations and coordinate with HR for workforce planning, discipline, and employee welfare.
