Job Context:
∎ The purpose of Manager, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion role is to support the GESI Lead to ensure that gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) is integrated into all BRAC International programmes including design and implementation; monitoring, evaluation and learning; and across organizational systems and processes. The GESI Manager will support the development of BRAC International`s Gender Equality and Social Inclusion policy and strategy for programme delivery and organizational policies and systems, coordinate the GESI Working Group for BI and support capacity building efforts across country offices spanning Asia and Africa.
∎ The ideal candidate will have strong communication and technical skills, able to collaborate with a large geographically dispersed teams spanning Africa and Asia, able to build up trusted relationships and influence a range of internal stakeholders across locations and programmes.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the development of BRAC International's Gender Equality and Social Inclusion policy and strategy through coordination with different BI entities and track progress;
∎ Support the GESI working group of BRAC International by setting up regular meetings of the working group, ensuring meeting minutes are clearly captured and documented for incorporation in programme delivery as well as organizational systems and processes;
∎ Support programme teams to ensure that thematic components are technically sound and grounded on gender and power analysis; and help to track progress that implementation methods are consistent with international strategies and best practices;
∎ Deliver training to programme teams to promote capacity, ownership, and commitment to gender equality, diversity, and inclusion;
∎ Support programme and monitoring teams on GESI mainstreaming activities;
∎ Work with HR teams to support GESI integration in organizational policies, systems and procedures and review progress;
∎ Support the resource mobilization team to ensure to ensure GESI integration in project proposal development;
∎ Organize BI-wide events for international campaigns (IWD, 16 Days of Activism, etc.)
∎ Liaise with country teams and grants management to ensure that sub-contractors are in compliance with BI's GESI policy and strategy;
∎ Develop reports, case studies and success stories to promote the successes of the GESI strategy and its implementation;
∎ Participate in programme design meetings and workshops to facilitate GESI inclusion in programme planning.
∎ Safeguarding:
∎ Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent conceptual skills with regards to gender and/or social inclusion mainstreaming
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated success engaging with key stakeholders to enhance the adoption of GESI best practices
∎ Experience integrating GESI into programming and organizational policies and systems
∎ Experience of providing technical guidance and supportive supervision to a large geographically dispersed team
∎ Strong knowledge of international standards and best practices
∎ Ability to work strategically with multiple stakeholders
∎ Strong facilitation and presentation skills
∎ Capable of working both individually and as part of a team
∎ Excellent communication (written, verbal, negotiation, presentation skills)
∎ Ability to prioritize and deal with competing demands to deliver results
∎ Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
∎ Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
∎ At least 5 years of experience in the development or humanitarian sector and minimum 3 years of progressive experience in gender and/or social inclusion mainstreaming
