Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Manager - Donor Funded Projects will coordinate all donor funded projects of Room to Read Bangladesh.
∎ S/he will maintain and monitor project planning, project schedule and coordinate with government and other stakeholders, budget and expenditure, reporting to Global Office (GO), donor and government.
∎ The Manager - Donor Funded Projects will report directly to the Country Director.
∎ Implement a Financial Pipeline Tracking System for timely funding, budget monitoring and cost control based on sound financial and budgeting principles,
∎ Closely work with Director, Accounting and Finance for all donor funded projects' financial reporting, budget variances and expenditure analysis.
∎ Liaison and coordinate with Director, Program Operations on Donor Funded Projects for effective monitoring of project implementation, target achievement, budget monitoring, necessary compliance, and reporting.
∎ Organizing and participating in meetings with donor, partners, and other stakeholders.
∎ Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from all project meetings.
∎ Ensure timely submission of project documentation to donor, GO of Room to Read, project lead and other stakeholders, as required
∎ Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
∎ Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, government, and donors.
∎ Facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute agenda and minutes to all project team members and Country Management Team.
∎ Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings based on different requirement of the projects.
∎ Assess project risks, issues and provide solutions where applicable in consultation with the Country Director.
∎ Follow-up with all project implementation calendar to track each goal and objective of projects
∎ Preparation and submission of different periodical reports
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum 10 years of experience including 3 years in a senior managerial role in donor relation and compliance monitoring
∎ Good knowledge and understanding of education issues, including teaching methodologies and community involvement in schools
∎ Thorough understanding of Government of Bangladesh's Pre-Primary and Primary Education system
∎ Experience of working with the existing pre-primary and primary curriculum
∎ Experience of reviewing curriculum's and making recommendations
∎ Experience of leading and supporting a team of at least 50 staff
∎ Experience of reporting
∎ Strong planning, budgeting/financial management, administrative, supervisory, coaching and program development skills
∎ Knowledge about government compliance of donor funded projects, approval and reporting system of NGOAB
∎ Strong planning, supervising, and program development skills
∎ Analytical and critical thinking skills
∎ Understanding of monitoring, evaluation, and process documentation
∎ Strong motivation in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization that is focused on maintaining high quality work and low overhead
∎ Prior track record of achieving results in a fast-paced, growth-oriented global or regional organization
∎ Report writing skills and experience, Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously
∎ Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
∎ Workshop/training and facilitation skill
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Work more effectively in problem solving and delegation approach
∎ Ability to stay in the field and travel to designated project sites
∎ Proven track record of achieving results
∎ Prior success working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people
∎ Prior experience working with schools, teachers, administrators, and government officials
