The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the library’s academic and research resources to support the College’s educational objectives:
•Manage and maintain the library’s print and digital collections, including books, journals, and research materials.
•Classify, catalogue, and organize resources according to professional library standards.
•Assist students, faculty, and researchers in accessing and utilizing academic information efficiently.
•Operate and maintain library automation and digital catalog systems.
•Plan and oversee the acquisition of new books, journals, and online databases related to medical and allied health sciences.
•Conduct orientation programs and training sessions to familiarize users with library facilities.
•Supervise library staff and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
•Prepare monthly and annual reports, manage budgets, and ensure accountability of resources.
•Maintain an orderly, quiet, and conducive environment for learning and research.
•Ensure compliance with copyright laws and institutional policies in the use of library materials.
