Sample Handling

Responsibilities & Context:

• Collect blood, urine, and other required specimens from applicants according to established procedures.

• Perform laboratory tests required for GCC Medical/Wafid medical examinations

• Handle, label, store, and process specimens accurately and safely.

• Perform routine laboratory investigations such as hematology, biochemistry, serology, and urine examinations as applicable.

• Operate laboratory equipment and ensure proper handling and maintenance.

• Follow standard laboratory procedures and quality-control protocols.

• Verify test results and report any abnormal or questionable findings to the responsible Medical Officer/Supervisor.

• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test results, and documentation.

• Ensure proper infection-control and laboratory safety practices.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory reports.

• Coordinate with doctors, medical officers, and other laboratory staff to ensure smooth medical examination procedures.

• Ensure timely processing of samples and test results for GCC Medical/Wafid applicants.
