• Competence in managing a local network regardless of internet availability.

• Strong understanding of office operations, with excellent organizational abilities and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

• Competent in using Microsoft Office applications and internet tools.

• Capable of independently planning, organizing, and managing workload effectively.

• Should be self-driven, dedicated, and adaptable to flexible working hours.

• ▸ Demonstrated ability to apply creativity and initiative to solve problems, identify effective solutions, and suggest areas for improvement.

• ▸ Must possess appropriate communication skills to interact professionally with both students and faculty.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure proper maintenance of all computers and related equipment (peripherals, printers, projectors, etc.) across BBS labs, keeping systems updated with the latest antivirus and OS updates.

• Install and configure required software, ensuring all systems are ready before the start of each semester.

• Perform regular data backup procedures to maintain data security and integrity.

• Manage and maintain local network operations independently, even without internet connectivity.

• Monitor and control downloaded files and software to prevent malware, spyware, or other security threats.

• Provide technical support to faculty and students within labs and BBS premises.

• Conduct routine inventory checks, document equipment condition, and report any damage or malfunctions.

• ▸ Identify and resolve minor hardware and technical issues to ensure smooth operations.

• ▸ Supervise lab activities to prevent misuse, theft, or damage to equipment.

• Open and close the lab according to scheduled working hours.

• Offer on-site technical assistance during lab-based classes.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor when required.
