Core Job Responsibilities
Daily Transaction Recording: Maintain accurate daily logs of all financial transactions, including fuel sales, lubricant sales, and service charges, in the cash book, bank book, or ledger.
Inventory & Fuel Reconciliation: Perform regular stock reconciliations to match physical fuel levels against sales records to detect leaks, mismanagement, or fraud.
Cash & Bank Management: Process daily cash collections from pump attendants, prepare bank deposits, and handle regular bank reconciliations to ensure cash flow accuracy.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage invoices for fuel deliveries and supplier payments, and track credit sales to regular corporate or fleet clients.
Petty Cash Handling: Disburse and record small daily operational expenses for station maintenance, office supplies, and miscellaneous costs.
Financial Reporting: Assist senior staff in preparing weekly and monthly financial reports, including sales summaries and expense statements.
VAT & Tax Compliance: Maintain required government records such as VAT books and assist in the timely submission of tax returns.
Software Data Entry: Operate accounting software like Tally, SAP, or QuickBooks to ensure all digital records are up-to-date and accessible.
Typical Requirements
Education: Minimum Masters/Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Skills: Good Skills in IT, Bengali & English smooth typing speed and also Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with basic accounting principles.
Experience: Minimum job experience 05-10 years in Accounts Department. The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks, Hospital, Pharmaceutical/Medicine Companies, Hotel, CNG, Super store, Gas, Filling Station.
